Coral reefs are incredibly rich with various wildlife animals. Besides coral polyps who form the coral reefs, there can be found various types of sponges, crabs, snails, fishes, turtles, snakes and other molluscs.
Coral reefs form in shallow and warm water near the mainland, mostly in tropical areas.
The largest barrier reef in the world is the Great Barrier Reef located near Queensland in northeast Australia. Its length is more than 1,500 miles.
